Wanhua Chemical Group Co., Ltd. was established on December 20, 1998 and was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (Stock No. 600309) on January 5, 2001. In 2005, Wanhua implemented an international strategy, establishing domestic production, sales and R&D facilities in Yantai, Ningbo, Beijing, Shanghai, Zhuhai and more than ten international facilities worldwide. In 2011, Wanhua Industrial Group acquired BorsodChem company in Hungary. Now Wanhua is building a 10 square kilometers production base, one of the largest chemical production facilities in the world.   On Dec 30, 2014, the thousand-ton pilot plant of HDI biuret achieved its first and successful test-run, breaking the long-upheld technological monopoly by foreign multinational companies. This has enabled Wanhua Chemical to become the first Chinese manufacturer that can make successful production of biuret!

  On Mar. 28, 2003, the feasibility report of Yantai Wanhua 160kt/year MDI project was approved by the State Planning Commission.

  On Aug. 27, 1978, Pemission for the construction of the Yantai synthetic leather factory was given by the State Planning Commission and the Project Construction Committee, opening the start of China’s first PU base construction.
